Turkey Ready to Host Fresh Peace Talks Between Russia and Ukraine

by admin477351

Türkiye has once again expressed its readiness to facilitate peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, as confirmed by Kremlin foreign policy aide Yuri Ushakov. In a statement made in Kazan, Ushakov highlighted that Turkish authorities are prepared to offer a venue for discussions aimed at resolving the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. This development follows recent talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.

Since the onset of the war, Türkiye has taken on a significant mediating role, maintaining open diplomatic channels with both Moscow and Kyiv. Earlier sessions in Istanbul marked some of the most direct negotiations between the two parties, although these did not lead to a lasting resolution. Despite this, Türkiye remains committed to fostering dialogue and preventing further escalation.

Ankara’s balanced approach emphasizes diplomacy and continuous engagement with both Russian and Ukrainian leaders. Turkish officials have been actively involved in encouraging international peace efforts, underscoring their dedication to a diplomatic resolution.

Türkiye’s offer to host a new round of talks underscores its ongoing commitment to peace and stability in the region. By maintaining its role as a mediator, Türkiye aims to contribute positively to the international community’s efforts to bring an end to the conflict.
